Tonight we painted "Watercolor Trees."
Idea struck, I grabbed arms full of paint bottles and placed one of every color out onto a table up front.
"Pick your own colors!"
Everyone seemed intrigued by this, "pick it for me!" They each echoed each other round the table with a smile.
Such a simple request, and yet so much pressure!
Everyone's painting came out very different, so different that I forgot to get a group photo.... although I knew from the beginning that I genuinely wanted one. It's rare we can work off the grid like that! I was too excited, I completely forgot...speaking of forgot! Tonight was our 2021 Summer raffle drawing, and I forgot to read the number off the winning ticket... I went straight to the winners name... turned the scary camera off and called her.
Although presentation is a huge part of our jobs, I don't think there is an artist here who can function on Facebook live! We're all a bit camera funny.
