Virtual Live Event FAQ's:

Q: What is Zoom?

A: Zoom is a video conferencing platform we are using to conduct our live virtual events! You'll be able to see us and follow along and we'll be able to see you. You can ask a question out loud or send any questions/feedback via Chat 

Q: How do virtual events work?

A: Once you are signed up for a virtual event you will receive a Zoom link. On the day and time of your event, click the link to join. You'll be able to see our artist on video who will lead you step-by-step to create your painting from your own device in the comfort of your own home! 

Q: Do I need to have special equipment for a Virtual Live event?

A. As long as you have a mobile device, tablet or computer with a strong internet connection, you're good to go!  

Q: Will I be on video?  Can I choose not to be on video?

A: We highly encourage you to be on video so we can see your smiling face! But if you'd prefer not to be on video, that's ok too. You'll be able to turn your video on or off once you are in the Zoom event.

Q: Will I be able to ask a question?

A: Absolutely! You'll be able to ask a question via voice or chat once you're inside of the event. 

Q: What happens if I don’t finish my painting or I need additional help?

A: We realize that this experience is quite different from our normal one in that you won't have the hands-on assistance should you need it. We'll be hosting an S.O.S. event once we are able to have you back in our studio so that we can help you with anything you need! 

Q: What are the prices for a class?

A: Classes range from $39-$55.  View the calendar for event types and prices.

Q: When do you post a new monthly schedule?

A: The calendar is posted on or around the 15th of each month for the following month.

Q: Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?

A: Yes, if there are a few damp places, there are blow dryers to dry them quickly.

Q: At what time should I arrive for class?

A: 10-15 minutes prior to class so that you have time check in, grab an apron and find your seat.

Q: Do you do reserved seating?

A: Yes, a paid reservation will guarantee your seat. If you are coming with others, please indicate the name of the group or party members to be seated together.

Q: Can we bring food and drinks?

A: Yes, feel free to bring a snack and drink or load up a picnic basket or cooler!

Q: Can we bring wine or beer?

A: Yes, you can bring wine, beer or champagne. Hard liquor is NOT permitted in our studio. Guests must be 21 to consume alcohol.

Q: Do you have cups, plates and napkins?

A: Yes, plastic cups, plates, napkins, forks, wine bottle openers are provided. Buckets for ice are available too. We do NOT provide Ice.

Q: What do I wear?

A: What ever is comfortable. We have aprons to protect your clothing.

Q: Do I need a reservation?

A: Yes, reservations are required. Payments can be made online with Master Card, Visa, Amex or Discover Card or by calling the studio: 813-591-2163. All payments for online reservations are processed at the time the reservation is made. We do not take credit card information through email.

Q: What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?

A:  CANCELLATION - REFUND POLICY:

 **NO REFUNDS** All Sales are Final.

We require a minimum 24-hour advanced notice for cancellation of a reservation in order to receive a STORE CREDIT. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

NO refunds or store credits for TWIST AT HOME KITS, TWIST AT HOME VIRTUAL KITS OR SHIP TO HOME KITS. All Sales are Final.

We understand that some people may need to cancel, whether it be due to illness or concerns due to exposure. Should you have to cancel due to illness, concerns of exposure, or any other reason, please call our studio and leave a message with your name, phone number and the date and time of the class.

We will issue STORE CREDIT for any cancellations. The STORE CREDIT will be for the full amount paid for the class and can be used at a later date and time to attend a class at our studio. There is no expiration date on the STORE CREDIT.

Should it become necessary for US to cancel a class, we will personally contact you and you will receive a STORE CREDIT for the full amount of your reservation or a REFUND.

To all of our valued guests, your safety and the safety of our staff are our utmost concern. We consistently check the latest CDC, state and local government websites for information and recommendations.  We continue to take extra precautionary measures to ensure all surfaces are wiped down regularly with anti-bacterial wipes and continue additional disinfecting cleaning efforts.

Q: Do you do Private pARTies?

Q: What size is the canvas?

A: The most popular canvas is 16" x 20". We have a variety of surfaces and sizes to chose from.

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: Yes. Family Days accomodate painters ages 7+ prior to 7pm. NO infants or toddlers in any session including private parties.  Weekday evenings, (M-TH) we welcome painters ages 13+.  Friday & Saturday nights are for ages 17+. NO exceptions. 

Check the individual event for age restrictions. You must be 21 years old with proper ID to consume alcoholic beverages per Florida Law. We reserve the right to ask for ID.

Q: Should I tip the artist and/or assistant?

A: Tipping is not necessary and the artists are not expecting it, but if you had an exceptional time, you are welcome to give them a tip. They will be thrilled. 

Q: Can my friends hang out and NOT paint?

A: We recommend that EVERYONE paints! No observers in open public classes.

We can acommodate a limited number of non-painting guests for Private Parties if space allows. Due to COVID we ask that only parents of the birthday kiddo stay during the event.

If we have less than 5 registered guests the class may be cancelled and a refund or store credit will be issued.

Painting with a Twist reserves the right to cancel classes for unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified at least 24 hours prior to class time and refunds or Store Credits will be processed.
