My name is Phillip McLaughlin and I have been very passionate about art my whole life. I am originally a self taught artist and continued pursuing studying fine arts at the Barnes Foundation for 5 years. I am also very passionate about skateboarding, music, traveling, eating food, and being outside. Hope to see you at PWAT!
My name is Maura Kernaghan. I'm an adventure seeker, I love trying new things; my most recent have been cliff jumping, rock climbing, and zip lining. I'm an avid runner and have completed many races. In January 2017 I'm going to be running my first full marathon. I'm the youngest child of 5, and have 8 awesome nieces and nephews. I'm the biggest nerd when it comes to Harry Potter and Disney. I can also recite the alphabet backwards in less than 10 seconds. I consider myself outgoing, friendly, and humorous-but mainly I love to have a good time, and live life to the fullest.
My name is Marlene! I am a mother of 4, and a grandmother of one, soon to be 3. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Maryland Institute College of Art. I was an Art Director for 10 years at Martin F. Weber Co. working with Bob Ross merchandise, and all of the television artists of channel 12 before cable TV. I enjoy painting children's murals the most, and when I'm not painting, I love being on the water. I enjoy fishing and spending time at the beach.
My name is Brittney. Art has always been a passion of mine, along with music and photography. One of my goals in life is to travel and photograph the world. I try to see the beauty in everything, and try to fine a way to help others see that beauty as well.
My name is Jeanne O’Shell. I majored in Painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and was commencment speaker of the Undergraduate Class. Aside from working at PWAT, I teach drawing to all ages at Abington Art Center. I feel very lucky to teach art to so many people and help them experience the joy of painting. In addition to painting, I love watching stand up comedy, long jogs, grilled cheese and dogs.
Holleigh is a new artist here in Warrington. She loves animals and Paint Your Pet is her favorite class. With her dazzling personality she will have you laughing at everything. She grew up in FL right outside of Disney and her whole family has worked there. Besides her degrees in German Literature and Language & Biological and Cultural Anthropology she is a Social Media Content Provider and Artist.
My name is Painting with a Twist (PWAT) Warrington, and welcome to Maya! Haha just kidding!! I’ve lived in Doylestown and New Hope pretty much all my life. PWAT for me was an absolute blessing. I wanted to find a job close to my desired career, Art Therapy. I started drawing and painting at an early age. As someone with Autism among other things, art ended up being my main way of non-verbal communication. It became my source of self-expression and awareness and allowed me to process general things about my environment that I never was able to grasp before. All I really wish to do is to connect with people and allow everyone to enjoy themselves. This job will continue to help me learn and to improve by ability to communicate. I had the mindset that I had to put in full artistic professionalism with any art job I acquired. Then PWAT showed me that you do not have to be a brilliant prodigy or someone who suffered through years of art school to be able to enjoy these guided classes. PWAT is meant for new experiences to blossom, allowing everyone to make fun new memories, and letting laughs escape the room as we chuckle about messes we will make together!
My name is Myia Hawthorne and I am the mommy of one awesome kid. I have my bachelors of fine arts in Graphic and Interactive Design from Temple University. There is something that is so satisfying when paint glides across an empty canvas and transforms into a work of art, which lasts a lifetime. I love taking part in that transformation! I also love listening to music, cooking & watching movies in my free time.
