Types of Parties:

We offer two main types of parties: a Private Party, and an Open Party

Private Party Details:

Make the day all about you! You select the artwork (from over 17,000 paintings); you can choose your Artist; you bring the food and/or drinks and invite those you are celebrating with you.  We take care of the rest! No setup or clean up AND you can get the room for 30 minutes before and after the scheduled painting time to celebrate.  One of our talented artists will lead you step-by-step through your painting of choice.  It is so much easier than you think!  No worries if you are new to painting; our studio specializes in helping beginners have a blast creating their own art!  We will provide all the art supplies, cups, napkins, paper plates, and corkscrews. A small refrigerator and cooler is available along with a table for gifts, food, and drinks.

Private parties require a deposit of $152 (4-seat equivalent) to secure the day and time for your event.  The deposit can be fully or partially applied towards the total cost of the event, or if guests are paying individually and the minimums below are met, any remaining balance of the deposit can be refunded back to the original form of payment.

Private Parties can be booked during Peak Days (Friday - Saturday) or Off-Peak Days (Monday - Thursday).

Peak Day (Fri-Sat) Private Party Minimums: $380 (includes up to 10 painters using the standard 16x20 canvas). Kid parties are not available Friday & Saturday nights.

Off-Peak Day (Mon-Thur) Private Party Minimums: $266 (includes up to 7 painters using the standard 16x20 canvas).

Additional painters are welcome, with prices starting at $38 per person.

We are BYOB. Must be 21+ to consume alcohol. Drink responsibly. You may bring food and drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) to the studio. Infants and toddlers below the age of 8 are not allowed in the studio, with an exception for private events. Must be 8 years or older to paint.

Paint Pour Party Option:   Join us for a Twist on some colorful fun, and book a paint pour party. Paint pouring is a technique where you mix acrylic paints with a pouring medium then pour the mixture onto a surface to create a one-of-a-kind abstract piece of art.  You get your own private room and an artist to lead you step-by-step through paint pour techniques.  You and your guests will receive two canvases (12X12 or 11X14 inch) with the option to try multiple techniques (can upgrade to larger for an upcharge).  This event is low-stress, very messy, and a lot of fun!  We require a deposit of $180 in order to save the date.  Additional painters beyond the below minimums are welcome at the cost of $45 each.

Peak Day Paint Pour (Fri/Sat) Private Party Minimums: $450 (includes up to 10 painters using two canvases each)

Off-Peak Day (Mon-Thur) Private Party Minimums: $315 (includes up to 7 painters using two canvases each)

Open Party Details:

Be our VIP with an Open Party. If the minimums of a Private Party are not for you, call us about an Open Party.  You still get to select the artwork, then we invite the public to join you (while you get VIP seating).  Open Parties must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance so we can promote the event.  A minimum of 7 painters (you, your friends, and the public) in total for the event to take place.

Additional Information

Once the private party has been booked and the painting is selected, the host/hostess will receive a passcode to distribute to guests. Hosts can also email or print custom invitations. Guests can then go online and individually pay and register for the private party, or the host/hostess may instead pay with one payment for the party.

Party Room Options

We have two rooms available at our Studio for your events. The Main Room can accommodate a maximum of 42 guests.  The Party Room can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests.

We also can host your event virtually.  All minimums, peak and off-peak guidelines still apply.

Please call or text 417-755-7760 or email studio239@paintingwithatwist.com for availability. We are happy to walk you through the process to make your party planning a breeze!

Cancellation Policy

We require at least 1-week (7 days) notice if you should need to cancel. Any guests that have paid reservations will receive a refund or store credit that will expire 90 days from the date of issuance. Failure to give at least 1-week (7 days) notice of cancellation will result in a $152 cancellation fee to the host's credit card (or the deposit will not be refunded), and any guests that have paid reservations will receive a refund (minus $5.00 processing fee) or store credit that will expire 90 days from the date of issuance.

Service Animal Policy (No Pets)

We welcome ADA recognized service animals in our studio when space is available. Per the ADA, service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
