What is Painting with a Twist?
Painting with a Twist is a FUN place to create ART...our fun & welcoming artists make painting EASY and ENJOYABLE for those with NO ART ABILITY....with step-by-step instructions and even stencils!

Do you offer underage classes?
Yes! ALL of our events may be attended by AGES 12+. We also offer family-friendly 1.5 hour events for AGES 6+ for just $28 per painter, on some weekends. (Age 5 must have an adult sit with them during the event.)

How do I reserve my seat?
Reserve your seats by clicking on the following link, then clicking on the calendar event: https://www.paintingwithatwist.com/studio/spokane-valley/calendar/ Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend calling to make sure the class still has seats available.

Can I stop in anytime and paint?
Pop in & Paint will be beginning the week of December 26. Call the studio at 509-413-9892 for more information. NO pre-registration required. ALL AGES 6-99. (Children must be AGE 6+ and must have an adult supervising them/assisting them with their painting.) Come in & stay as long as you like.

Are we allowed to bring in beverages and food?
You are not allowed to bring in beverages (unless it's a coffee drink). You may bring in snacks. Private parties may bring in cake or food, including catered.

Our studio offers complimentary bottles of iced water & hot coffee upon request. We sell snack items, and you may purchase freshly-made food from our menu, including giant pretzels, grilled cheese plates, & charcuterie boards.

Do I need to bring anything with me to paint?
Your reservation includes everything you need to create a beautiful and unique painting! When you arrive you are supplied with an apron, the type of painting surface you have chosen, brushes and paint. If you choose our Real Pine Plank Board, you are given hangers and written instructions on how to easily seal for outdoor display.

Can my friends come and watch us without painting?
We do appreciate everyone paying for a seat, to support our studio, especially after the ordeal of 2020. They can paint something other than what is being taught, if they prefer, or simply take the surface they purchase to give to a friend or to paint at home. Another option if a friend doesn't wish to paint with you: we will allow them to order a Twist at Home kit online ($34/painter), which they can take home with them after the class, to paint at home or give to a family member or friend to paint (comes with access to a pre-recorded video with an artist giving step-by-step instructions for the painting you choose; see https://www.paintingwithatwist.com/studio/spokane-valley/diy-art-kits/ to order a kit(s).

What are the prices for a class?
Family-Friendly (AGE 6+) 1.5-hr events are $28. Two-hour events (All of these are AGES 12+) cost $38-$58, depending on what surface you choose to paint. 16x20 and 11x14 Canvas...$38; 10x30 Canvases $41; Screen Art is $46, 17.5x17 or 16x20 authentic, kiln-dried Pine Wood Plank...$46; 10.5x26 (same pine)...$47; 10.5x47 Porch Leaner (same pine)...$58; 16x18 Wooden Shiplap Pallet (compressed wood product)...$41; 16x18 Slatted Pallet (compressed wood product)...$41, 24x36 Canvas $57; 12x12x1 3/4" deep sides Canvas (you can wrap the painting around the sides for a unique 3D effect...$40

When do you post a new monthly schedule?
The calendar is posted on the 1st day of the month before (or close to that). If you'd like to receive bimonthly emails announcing the new calendar and other events, please email us at studio196@paintingwithatwist.com and request to be added to our email list.

Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?
Yes, if it is still damp, we have hair dryers which will dry them quickly. Also have large paper bags to carry your painting home in upon request.

At what time should I arrive for class

At least 15-20 minutes before (you are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes before class starting time to start relaxing, sipping & visiting).

Do you do reserved seating?

Yes, when you make a reservation there is a place for you to enter who you want to be seated next to. If your group is all signing up for a get-together in one of our public events, decide on a name for your group, then have everyone enter that name in the Notes section so we can seat you together.

What do I wear?
Whatever is comfortable and you don't mind if a little paint gets on it. Paint will come out with water if you notice it right away. And you can ask an artist for our brush conditioner to help get the paint off, if needed. We encourage you to wear our disposable aprons to protect your clothes.

Do I need a reservation? How do you handle cancellations?
We require notice of cancellation no later than 24 hours before event in order to receive a store credit. "No calls/no shows" will not be issued store credit. If you have a VALID, verifiable emergency, call us before the class; we handle these on a case-by-case situation.

Do you do private parties?
Yes, please click "Request a Party" tab. Ten Paid Seats required any day/time other than Fri/Sat nights, which require 12 (14 between Dec 8-23). $150 deposit required to book; balance charged two weeks before event. OR if attendees paying individually, deposit will be refunded when the minimum number required sign up/pay. IF YOU DON'T HAVE TEN people, you can request some Twist at Home kits for the number you don't have (take them home after your private event to paint at home (these come with access to a pre-recorded video). i.e. have only 6 people but want a private event? Pay for ten seats, then choose 4 Twist at Home kits, which you can pick up at your party.

OR have a "Party in a Larger Party" option, which is simply chosing one of our open to the public events already on our calendar and having everyone sign up, entering the group's name so we can seat you all together. The more, the merrier! You are seated together, you get a separate table for foods you bring, and you MAY get to choose from a list of our most popular paintings. NO WORRIES about meeting minimum numbers of attendees, no deposit to be made, and no agreement to sign.

How do I register with a Gift Card or Certificate?
To register with a Gift card or certificate you received from Painting with a Twist, click on the painting of your choice and when you get to payment options there will be a place for you to enter the code off of the certificate or card. If you have a voucher purchased from another website either call or email with the name of the painting you are wanting to come to and how many painters you will have – you will then bring in the voucher at the time of class. Certificates are always LIMIT ONE PER PERSON PER EVENT and are not to be used with another special.

Will I have enough seats for my group in an upcoming class?
If seats start to fill up, we indicate this on the calendar event, i.e. “8 seats left”. You may call us at 509-413-9892 to check availability.

Cancellation Policy:

We do not offer refunds.
If you notify the studio NO LATER THAN 24 hours before the class we will issue you a store credit.

No-shows/No-calls will not receive store credit.
Bad Weather: Class will be canceedl if a weather emergency is declared or the DOT announces the roads to be too unsafe to travel on; otherwise our cancellation policy is as stated above. In the rare case of a class cancelling due to poor weather conditions, we text this info to all attendees, and they are given the options of receiving a store credit or being transfered to the rescheduled class date or a different class. Please call us for updates in a case of questionable weather.
Late Arrivals: If you arrive 10 or more minutes late you may not be allowed to participate if the artist cannot get you caught up without disrupting all the painters who arrived on time. Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the class starts and be ready to have an amazing time!
