Kristen is a lifelong artist with a passion for teaching. Kristen holds an AAS in Fine Arts and is currently working on her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts at Stony Brook University. While Kristen has studied multiple forms of art, she has always particularly enjoyed comics. Kristen has shared her love for comics by volunteering at Stony Brook’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival where she teaches attendees how to draw in the style of Japanese comics. When she isn’t making art, she can be found playing video games or nerding out with her friends!

During her time there, she studied mixed media, and completed an independent study in hot glass fusing. She is currently working on her Graduate Degree in Literacy and Cognition. She is a school teacher by day, and an artist by night. She has been painting and drawing her entire life, and enjoys watching artwork come to life on the page. One of her favorite elements of working with PWAT is that she is given the oppurtunity to create new artworks and share her passion with everyone who straps on an apron and sits in one of her classes.
