I'm excited to be a part of the Painting With A Twist (PWAT) family, as the new owner of the Ocala, Florida PWAT. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the Paint and Sip industry, something that has become so popular and enjoyed by so many. I am originally from England but have been in Florida for over 35 years. I have two amazing kids, Arianna and Sebastian. We love spending time at the beach and movies, and am very involved in their education and extracurricular activities. I have always loved Art and the self expression delivered through it. Art is expressed in everything we do and how we live life, our own personal canvas. From an early age, I knew that I was an entrepreneur. I started in the restaurant business at age 15, and worked to running and owning multiple restaurants. During that time, I also received a Business degree. I wanted to explore a new direction but continue working with people. I fell in love with PWAT after a personal experience with the Ocala studio.

I was born and raised in the Midwest and moved to FL in 2008. I enjoy the beach and the interesting Florida wildlife and scenery. I feel like I’ve been an artist my entire life since my dad was an art major and I grew up with art supplies and books around the house. Both of my parents always encouraged my artistic endeavors. I was the girl that had friends who would pay me a quarter to draw a picture for them and I would write a note in the front of my coloring books that said “the rule is that you have to color in the lines”. I’m so glad that I’ve learned some rules are made to be broken! Ha! I would spend hours looking at Old World Masters paintings in my dad’s books. In 2016 I was fortunate enough to visit Van Gogh’s museum, Rembrandt’s home and studio, and the world famous Rijks Museum which houses over 1 million objects of history and art. That trip reawakened the artist in me that had been put aside for years. I love traveling and visiting museums and seeing new places. I enjoy the outdoors and being near water. My other artistic endeavors have included singing and dancing. Dancing is another passion of mine. I love to compete and perform with my amateur partner, as well as, my professional dance coach. I love sparkly things so it’s always fun to dress in the ballroom gowns and shine on that dance floor! I am also a licensed Realtor® in two states. My daughter is a talented Interior Designer and her husband is an Executive Chef who is a creative culinary artist. We love the arts in my family! Don’t Ever Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle! You were born to Shine!

Sheryl Miller

Sheryl Miller

Sheryl Is a very creative person. Her father was an artist and draftsman and her mother was a musician. So, she got the best of both worlds. Her father taught her some of the fundamentals when she was about 6 years old. The rest she learned on her own. She’s worked some in pencils, pastels, oil paint, murals, 3D graphics and has work on Stunt Show Sets, VBS themes, and award winning parade floats. Her mother was a singer and musician. That’s where Sheryl’s love for music comes in. Sheryl sings and plays some guitar. She has also spent 25 years in Radio, 16 in national radio for various formats from News, Classic Rock, Country, Adult Contemporary and even Radio Disney. She enjoys all different types of art and music and finds inspiration in them. Sheryl always loves to learn and try new things. She has a “Can Do” attitude. Other interests include Belly Dance, Kenpo Karate, Live Sound Production, and has an Advanced Scuba Certification as well as rehabbing houses. She also loves to help people and has taught dance, martial arts, guitar, radio. And now she is proud part of our art instructor team. So don’t be surprised if she busts out in song and dance. If she cuts loose, feel free to join her.

I am originally from NYC but moved to Ocala when I was 18 for a change of pace. I happen to be obsessed with fashion design and even attended a design high school as a fashion major. I ran into my first set of paints back in 2011 after joining an art club in 8th grade and my love for painting has just grown from there. After high school, I decided to lean more towards painting and graphic design for college, which has now lead me to a love for animation. I enjoy drawing, painting (traditional and digital), playing piano, gardening, swimming, biking, theme parks and thrill rides, cooking, and working with animals. I am very excited to be joining the PWAT team and can’t wait to see everyone’s paintings!

Not enough people can say that they get paid to do something that they love, and that is why I’m so grateful to be a part of the Painting with a Twist team. I am a self taught acrylic, and digital artist, and part time author. If there is anything I’m most passionate about- it’s self expression and creativity. I’m an enthusiast of comedy, pop culture, body art (tattoos) and speaking your mind. Im a wife to the most wonderfully supportive husband, and a mother to the most beautifully clever girl that I know. I’m originally from New Jersey, and come from a loud Italian family, so cozy home cooked meals and decorating for the holidays are some of my favorite things. I cry when choirs sing, and to Publix Christmas commercials because I’m a real sucker for “togetherness” and that’s the environment I’ll strive to bring if you paint with me. Let’s laugh at ourselves together.

Growing up being from everywhere, I loved seeing different art in different places, and how that art added to the culture of a place. I’m lucky to have a mother with an art degree, so I was always encouraged to create and to try and learn new art skills such as making ceramics, learning to crochet and weave on a loom, every sort of painting, and much more. I’ve been in Florida for about ten years now, and I love all things beachy, citrus, and sweet tea. I graduated from the University of Florida in 2020 with a degree in Visual Art Studies. Going to art school was the most amazing experience in the world, as I had an excuse to create art pretty much all day, every day. Some of my favorite mediums are: acrylic, water-mixable oils, colored pencil, and photography. My recent art obsessions are sculpting polymer clay earrings and painting fun designs on canvas shoes. I love chatting with people and having a blast so I am incredibly excited to be joining the PWAT family!
