Why book a private event?

Choose from 5000+ paintings on canvas, wood board, screen or glassware and enjoy a private room with your own talented artist. No set up or clean up, just simply show up and have fun! Order menu items like beer, wine, soda, coffee and light appetizers while you get creative, sing dance and play games! It’s the same price as a public event and great for celebrations of all kinds! We host events from birthday parties to retirement parties, sorority parties, staff retreats, scout troops and more!

Please advise your guests to arrive at least 10 mins. early as we will start PROMPTLY at the time chosen. This will allow time to mingle, drink and just relax before the fun begins!

What kind of private events can we come for?

There are so many occasions to celebrate at Painting with a Twist! We host events perfect for kids and adult birthdays, retirement parties, staff retreat events, Purdue University sorority events, Purdue University team building events, scout troop parties, holiday parties, graduation parties, bachelorette parties, wedding showers, girls night out and more! You name it and we can host it!

When can I have a private event?

7 days of the week & you name the time (10am-10pm), subject to artist availability.

Kids parties ages 6-12 may be booked 10am-6pm Mon-Fri and 10-4pm Sat-Sun. Minimum age to paint at our studio is 6. 

How may people do I need for a private event?

The minimum number of guests required for a private event is 10.

What is the maximum I can have for a private event?

Our studio holds a maximum of 55 guests between both rooms. We offer offsite services for special requests and groups larger than our max capacity. 

What can I bring to my private event?

We welcome guests to bring decorations, snacks and desserts. We have a menu with a selection of beer, wine, soda, coffee, Fair Oaks cheese plates and sweets plates. We have a party menu with larger portions for big groups. We do not allow guests to bring drinks of any kind into the studio. 

What is the cost and is there a deposit for a private event?

Private events can be booked either for a two-hour session at $35+ per person or a three-hour session at $45+ per person. Children’s parties, age 6-12, can be booked at $25+ per person for a 1.5 hour session if the painting selection is chosen from 1.5 hour Twist Kids (12 and under) category. Price varies based on product selection. 

Your guests may also pay in advance, as they arrive or you can pay as a group. We ask the the minimum (10) is paid (3) days in advance unless otherwise approved. Acceptable forms of payment are all major credit cards or cash (we do not accept checks). 

A $105.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a private event. This deposit may be applied to the cost of the Party or returned back to your credit card once your party has checked in with the accurate guest count.

If the minimum requirement is not met for the party through attendance, we require a (3) day notice and will open the class up to the public. If (3) day notice is not given, the host/hostess will be charged the balance to meet the minimum (10 guests) prior to the event.  

Artwork must be chosen at least (3) days before the event, but it is preferred this is done as soon as possible.

Private event guests must arrive on time and expect to finish in the alloted time. We reserve the right to charge $25/half hour of extra studio time. We ask that you arrive no sooner than 5-10 minutes before the event to allow our staff time to set up. If you need to set up party decorations in advance, please let us know and we will accommodate. 

How much in advance do I need to schedule my private event?

The sooner, the better! We can book a private event up til 6 months in advance.

How do I know which painting I can choose for my private event?

Once your private event is booked an invitation to our online painting gallery is generated to view our painting selections. We can also generate free printable invites for your event upon request.
