Our Jacksonville, FL - San Marco Painting with a Twist Artists

Geri B.

Geri B.

Geri is only one half of the Jacksonville native sibling duo that owns the studio! She began her journey as an Artist at the very first franchise back in 2010. After years of being an Instructor moved home to open her own studio with her brother, Josh. With a Fine Art Degree and Minor in Marketing/Communications from Florida State University it was the perfect fit. Geri loves being able to bring the love of creativity and fun to the Jacksonville community. Her favorite part about teaching is reminding people of what they truly are capable of (yes, you totally can paint more than a stick figure, I promise!), celebrating special milestones with the customers, and helping them destress to enjoy a little art therapy. In her spare time you can probably see her obsessing over her adorable studio pup doodle Stella, reading up on the latest mental health/wellness trend, probably learning totally unnecessary facts from Google, grabbing a lavender latte at a local spot, singing, dancing, pretending to be a DJ in the studio, or telling a rock solid Dad joke.

Laura G.

I’m a Jacksonville native and surgical assistant. I live with my daughter Ella, son Owen, and our two rescue pups, Albie and Penny. My Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw. I love British crime shows, comedy podcasts, good coffee, collecting eyeglasses, and pretending to be a French girl from the 1960s. I was probably born in the wrong decade. I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and I’ve learned so much from my fellow artists at Painting with a Twist. It’s super rewarding to help people uncover their inner artist.

Jeffrey M.

Jeffrey M.

Born and raised in the Bronx, there is no wonder why Jeffrey Maisonet became an artist and creator. Surrounded by art and creativity, Jeffrey took all this inspiration to heart and canvas. Traveling across the U.S. to California as well as high tailing it to live overseas in Holland he never traveled without his canvas and paints. Finally settling down in Florida, Jeffrey is married and now has 2 children. These changes have not held back his art or creations - he is Owner of Murals & More, Muralist for I.C.I. homes as well as Sister Johnston Design Co. Currently an Instructor for Painting with a Twist there seems to be nothing in his way to continue on as an artist.

I love being native to Florida. My family and I enjoy Jeeping on St. Augustine beach and roaming around Disney World. I've always wanted to be an art teacher, so I really love instructing my PWAT classes.

Frank E. S.

Frank E. S.

Frank E Sanabria II is proud to stand among the team at Painting With A Twist. A Jacksonville native, he discovered art while serving in the Navy where it made a lucrative venture among the tattoo hungry sailors aboard his submarine. When not at the studio, Frank E serves in the Air National Guard, studies Digital Media at FSCJ, and can be found on stage at a community theater near you. His accomplishments include several screenwriting awards, artwork on display in the veteran’s gallery in Washington DC, and keeping his pet gecko alive.

Themesisua S.

Themesisua S.

A Michigan native full of creativity who loves making colors, shapes, lights and shadows come to life in a variety of ways, with the hope that someone else can experience what I do daily! I've been painting/creating since I was a youth, which led me to opening my own custom cake shop for 10 years and working with the PWAT franchise over the last 5 years and a year here in Jacksonville! Time truly does fly while having fun! My goal is always to find the beauty in everything no matter what's going on around you and sharing it with others. We all have an inner artist, some find it earlier than others but once you do there's no turning back! "Life is a gift that I appreciate daily and art makes it easier to live it" Come paint with me and experience it for yourself! Creatively yours, Ms. Tee

Edmari H.

Edmari H.

Edmari Hernandez’s original place of birth is Arecibo, Puerto Rico, but she has spent most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born into an Army family, which allowed her to travel to various places such as Germany, Italy, Alaska, North Carolina, Texas, and Florida. Learning to live in a bilingual home and in a trilingual culture, she discovered at a young age that drawings were a universal visual representation of subjects that could be understood across languages and culture. She is fluent in Spanish and English. Edmari earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Florida concentrating on Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking, with a minor in Art History. She has also recently completed her Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of South Carolina in Studio Art. During her college years, she has worked in a few Painting with a Twist locations, and is now back at the studio she first began as an instructor.

Alisa F.

Alisa F.

Alisa Flum has lived in multiple places being apart of a military family, but has spent a majority of her childhood growing up in Giessen, Germany where she recognized and began growing her love for art and using it as a form of expression and escape. After moving to South Carolina where she spent 13 years, she graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2020 with a Bachelors in Experimental Psychology and a double minor in business and mass communications. She took advanced studio art classes throughout her years at USC to expand her skill set and grow her passion for painting. Alisa became a Jacksonville resident in November 2020 and is excited to not only work with other like-minded artists, but to share that passion with all her class members at the studio. Fun fact: Alisa is an avid thrifter and guarantees her entire wardrobe, at any given point, is thrifted! Not only that, she’s a French bulldog enthusiast.

Nariah F.

Nariah F.

Nariah is an artist based in Jacksonville, FL. She is an Art Alumna of Jacksonville University. She earned a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts, specializing in Illustration. Nariah’s work is a constant search to interpret herself and communicate her outlook on the world. She uses bold-vibrant hues to create pieces that stem from her past, present, and even ideas that look forward to the future. The artist believes that Art serves as a place of self-reflection. Self-reflection builds emotional self-awareness. By taking the time to recollect, one gains a better understanding of their emotions, virtues, and shortcomings. It is her hope that she inspires others to recollect, reflect, and realign. Nariah says, “We are the Authors and Illustrators of our lives,” as she invites you all to join her upon a journey of creativity and growth!
