Owner & Artist | Born and raised in Laurel, MS, I grew up with a love for the visual arts. I received my Associates of Arts from Jones College, at the time Jones County Junior College, and my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from William Carey University. It was while in college that I became an Artist for Painting with a Twist in Hattiesburg. During my college career I also gained knowledge in recruiting and administration. With that experience, I pressed forward becoming a Director, Recruiter and Manager. This all lead me back to the place I belong, PAINTING WITH A TWIST! Now the Owner & Operator of the studio I love, I strive for excellence not only in performance but in making a difference in the lives of others!

Artist | Born and raised in Collins, Ms, I graduated from Simpson Academy in ‘08, then spent a few years changing majors and having a kid! A few years later I re-enrolled and went on to graduate with an Associate’s in Electrical Technology & Instrumentation. I’m 31 and have been doodling since around kindergarten? For me, art and drawing have always been an escape. Just a hobby I learned on my own time growing up. I started out just (very poorly) drawing the things I saw everyday. I mainly used pencils until I was older and could afford more expensive art supplies to try out. I eventually moved on to ink pens, then alcohol markers, color pencils, and finally made my way into painting a few years ago! I’m the dad to two awesome little dudes! They’re constantly shaking me down to draw their favorite comic and cartoon characters but I love to do it!

Artist | I was born and raised in Laurel, MS. I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t drawing, painting, dancing and I was an avid tennis player. I was the kid in class who was always daydreaming, doodling, having difficulties sitting still and continuously voted class clown. Before college I spent a few carefree years wandering around the US stopping wherever the climate suited my clothes, some might say I was a vagabond of sorts. Eventually I made my way back to Hattiesburg MS and graduated from Clown College….just kidding! I got my degree from Southern Miss (To The Top!) in Recreation Management and a minor in dance and psychology. I worked as a Certified Recreation Specialist for many years in a variety of settings and with people of all ages and abilities. I truly love finding out what people enjoy doing or would like to do and adapting or creating a way to make that possible. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the pure joy on their faces when they accomplish a goal or create something they never thought possible. I’ve been an artist at PWAT for about 2 years and I am so grateful to be a part of such a unique and beautiful family. I also have a side hustle doing commission artwork and customized murals (mostly nurseries, bedrooms, game rooms). Give me a wall and I’ll paint it….just ask my 2 lovely kiddos how many walls were painted during the quarantine. I need art like I need my oxygen! It is a vital part of who I am and is also my favorite escape from reality. These days it’s especially important for all of us to escape, be creative and let our silly side come out to play. Come escape with me, dance a little, laugh a lot while creating something beautiful. I may even show off my juggling skills during class, who knows!?
