Erica T.
Erica was born and raised in Allentown, PA. She has always been interested in art for as long as she can remember. From creating clothes for her dolls as a child, from holey socks and dryer sheets, to creating Barbie supplies like a car from tissue boxes and toilet paper rolls. She's always been interested in creating something out of nothing. Erica is a wife and mother of 2. When she's not doing art, she loves spending time with her family, and designing/sewing clothing. You will love her energy and have a lot of fun in her classes!
Maya P.
Maya comes to us from Doylestown and New Hope. Now a resident of Allentown, she attends Cedar Crest College studying Art Therapy. She started drawing and painting at an early age. As someone with Autism among other things, art ended up being her main way of non-verbal communication. It became her source of self-expression and awareness and allowed her to process general things about her environment that she was never was able to grasp before. She wishes to connect with people through her art classes. She hopes this job will continue to help her to learn and to improve her ability to communicate. Working at Painting with a Twist showed her that you do not have to be a brilliant prodigy or someone who has had several years of art school education to be able to enjoy these guided classes. "Painting with a Twist is a way for new experiences to blossom, allowing everyone to make fun new memories, and letting laughs escape the room as we chuckle about the art we will make together!" - Maya.
Melody D.
Melody grew up in Canada and graduated from a school of fine arts. She has always had a passion for being creative. If you name something, she's probably dabbled in it at one point or another. She also enjoys traveling and has lived in various cities across Canada and the US. Her travels eventually lead her to Pennsylvania where she settled down to raise a family. She's an avid runner and has participated in several 5KS, 10Ks and half marathons! She also loves going to museums and has seen Van Gogh's Starry Night many times. She's most passionate about painting and loves teaching. This is her favorite of all the professions she has ever pursued. There's no doubt she will share with you her enthusiasm and love of painting and hopefully make you love it too!
Nadira K.
Nadira has lived in various cities, but has lived in Allentown with her family for the past decade. She left to pursue higher education at the University of Pittsburgh and just recently transferred back as a student of nursing at Cedar Crest College. She will be graduating in the Spring of 2023 in the hopes of becoming a Nurse Anesthetist! Aside from her academic pursuits, Nadira loves spending the rest of her time enjoying more creative passions. She likes fashion, embroidery, cooking, and staying active! She loves going to the gym and is currently a D3 athlete at Cedar Crest. Nadira also enjoys reading and is even working on her own book! However, above all else, painting is her favorite creative hobby to relax and unwind. Her passion for art is contagious and we hope that you look forward to meeting her in class!
Rachel M.
Rachel was born and raised in Allentown and has always had a passion for art. In high school she was awarded a special scholarship to attend the Baum School of Art. She is currently a student of fine art and psychology at Cedar Crest College and will be graduating in the Spring of 2022. Not only does Rachel love to paint, she also enjoys doing graphic design and illustration. She shares her creative passion on her social media page and has a substantial following! When she has free time, she loves to go to the beach, hang out with her family and two dogs, and eat lots of yummy Italian food! She's a great addition to the Painting With A Twist Family and we are sure you will love her classes!
Sara D.
Sara was born and raised in Bethlehem. She has been drawing & painting from a very young age. She loves painting, drawing, graphic arts and also web design. She studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco for Illustration. When she’s not making art, she loves to spend time with her fiancé and her two dogs, listen to her favorite music, read (including comics and graphic novels), and get coffee with friends. Art has always been an enriching and positive experience in her life. She is happy to share the love of painting with you!
Sarah E.
Sarah comes to us with a background in graphic design and photography. She received her BFA from Kutztown University in Communication Design. Having worked in that field for 30 years, she was ready to get back to her roots. She’s been drawing and painting since she was a little girl. She loves to inspire others to express themselves and discover a new way of being creative. Painting With a Twist is the perfect environment to relax and let go, have fun and laugh out loud. No judgements here. Learning to let go of perfectionism and embracing expression is what it’s all about for her. Come on in and have a great time being you and feeding your soul.
